JoshuAI Bardwell ("we", "our", or "the service") is a fan-made AI assistant for FPV drone enthusiasts. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from Google. This information is used solely to identify your account and personalize your experience.

Chat Messages

Messages you send to the assistant are processed by our AI system to generate responses. For signed-in users, chat history is stored on our servers so you can return to previous conversations. Anonymous users receive a temporary session cookie for basic functionality.

Anonymous Sessions

If you do not sign in, we assign an anonymous session identifier via a cookie. This is used only to track usage limits for anonymous users (one thread, limited messages). No personal information is associated with anonymous sessions.

Automatically Collected Data

Like most web services, our hosting provider (Vercel) may automatically collect standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used for service operation and security purposes.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the AI assistant service
• To maintain your chat history (signed-in users)
• To enforce usage limits for anonymous users
• To ensure the security and stability of the service

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your chat messages to train AI models.

Third-Party Services

• OpenAI — for AI response generation. Messages are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — for hosting and deployment.
• Neon — for database hosting (chat history and user accounts).
• Google AdSense — for displaying advertisements. AdSense may use cookies and tracking technologies. Subject to Google's Ads policies.

We use the following cookies:

• Session cookies — for authentication (signed-in users).
• anon_session — an anonymous session identifier for usage limit tracking.
• AdSense cookies — third-party cookies placed by Google for ad personalization.

Data Retention

Chat history for signed-in users is retained until you delete it or your account. Anonymous session data is tied to a temporary cookie and has no persistent association with your identity.

Your Rights

You can delete your chat history at any time through the application. If you wish to delete your account entirely, please contact us and we will remove all associated data.
